Maureen M. Batson, Esq.
Ms. Batson has been a licensed attorney since 1996 when she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University, Bloomington, Maurer School of Law, with honors, Order of Barristers. From 1996 through 2002, she was a commercial litigation attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio and Denver, Colorado, for law firms with top tier reputations. Her trial practice focused on the defense of commercial contract disputes across numerous industries, particularly finance and healthcare.
Since 2002, Ms. Batson has developed a specialty in alternative dispute resolution practices. Her clients span multiple industries, including healthcare and medicine, management consulting, financial services, retail, organic foods, and the non-profit sector. She has completed advanced mediation training and holds the status of Professional Mediator with the Colorado Council of Mediation Organizations. She has also obtained her Graduate Certification in Executive and Professional Coaching through The University of Texas at Dallas School of Management. She is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Batson worked within the field of education as both a teacher and non-profit executive director. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Comparative Theology, with honors, from University of the Pacific in California. She was a Division I Women's Swimming Scholarship Athlete.
Currently, Ms. Batson is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association, where she serves as a Hearing Officer for the Legal Fee Dispute Arbitration Committee. Ms. Batson also commits her time to PEAK Parent Center of Colorado, where she is an Advisory Board Member and Group Facilitator of PATH planning for young adults with developmental disabilities.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Batson is an amateur gourmet chef and avid athlete.
